A 100-gram serving of turnip provides about 2.3 grams of dietary fiber, 0.7 grams of protein and 0.2 grams of fat. It is also an excellent source of vitamin C, potassium, and manganese, and a good source of folate, magnesium, and copper. Turnip also contains a group of compounds called glucosinolates which have been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
